Did you see those recent adorable Gap commercials where the girls are dancing around in their cool brightly colored outfits saying ‘forget those girly dresses’ and ‘how cute are these boots’? I just loved the looks in these commercials so much that I decided to have a Limited Edition special that will look just like these commercials. I had some models in the studio recently and we had so much fun. Check out this fun video of all the models that came in for the Bold and Bright Limited Edition special. On January 23rd, I had a Model Mini session event for my upcoming Bold and Bright Limited Edition special (coming on February 19th and 20th, see blog post above for details). It was so much fun and all my models did great. I decided to continue the fun and have a contest for the favorite Model image. So I have chosen my favorite of each child and now it’s your turn to vote. The winner will receive the following great prizes: 1) A gift certificate for a complimentary session (children or family session) at Kelli Barker Photography. 2) A $50 gift certificate to the Gap (since the gap commercials were the inspiration for this special). 3) The winning image will be featured on my website’s main splash page. So here are all my models, cast your vote! The contest will end in 1 week at midnight on Tuesday, February 9th!

Happy New Year!! Now that the crazy holiday season is over I finally have some time to look back at the wonderful year I had in 2009. Check out all these beautiful faces I was fortunate enough to photograph. I want to say Thanks so much to all my great clients and may 2010 bring much happiness to everyone! Wow! What a crazy busy holiday season it has been. I have not had any time to write on my blog at all. I’m so thankful for all my wonderful clients who come back to me year after year for their holiday portraits and cards. And so thankful for all my new clients this season as well. I’m closing up shop for a couple of weeks to enjoy some time with my family for the holidays. They haven’t seem much of me over the last couple of months. Sessions will start up again the week of January 11th. I have openings in January and February so just give me a call or send me an email to schedule your winter session. Here are just a few of my favorites from the last couple of months. I’ll be doing a full 2009 wrap up after Christmas so stay tuned and enjoy the holidays with your families!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I had to quickly switch gears this week and get into the Christmas spirit with my Holiday specials that are now in full swing. I’ve had a great two days of the Home for the Holidays special. In fact I still have a few sessions left, I’m just on a brief break. There are still a couple of times left on this Friday (11/6) and Saturday (11/7) for the Enchanted Christmas special. I just love the Fall for outdoor children and family portraits. October has been such a busy month! I’m still getting through many of the sessions but I wanted to share a few favorites from late September and early October. You can just see in these how the colors are changing. It’s so beautiful outside right now, but it will only last another week or so. I’ll have more great outdoor portraits to share soon!
